The game starts with a tutorial to explain various aspects of the game. Players can also use magic to kill several enemies like Medieval England knights, demons, zombies and Egyptian warriors. The game contains a mix of exploration, jumping across gaps and ledge grabbing, puzzle-solving, and straightforward combat with a variety of weapons like a magic sword, a pistol, a crossbow and a transformation, similar to the Dark Prince in Two Thrones, referred here as "demon time". It has many elements seen in games like Tomb Raider and Prince of Persia. The player must travel across different dimensions with 4 different chapters to complete. Shade: Wrath of Angels is a third-person action-adventure game where players play as a nameless protagonist who must fight off various creatures while looking for his brother. The history revolves around an ancient war between angels and gods. The original name was Nefandus, but later was changed to Shade: Wrath of Angels before its release.

I even wrote them (developer) a letter asking them to check the GOG out so let's see what happens.Shade: Wrath of Angels is a 2004 Microsoft Windows and Xbox game produced by Black Element Software and published by Cenega. I encourage you to check it out at the web and give it a wish if you like. It's dark, moody, grim, a bit creepy, a bit gory, atmospheric, clunky, shitty and awesome. It is indeed a crappy game, but oh so great at the same time. Now a few days back I got this strange feeling of crave, this need to replay the game I played 12 years ago, brain started to fill with thoughts and memories about it and at last, what a relief! I finally playing it now. Loved it! All the games I played then were somehow great no matter how shitty they were lol.

A year or so later I finally got me a PC and beat that game at home. I almost beat that game in one night, but didn't. Aaand the pipe cracked, slow flooding started, but even I was afraid of the flood and the game I continued to play until dawn. That was really a creepy looking cellar with no toilet, poor lightning and lots of water pipes. So I played this oh so great game at night, in the dark, locked cellar all night long with my pants almost wet.

That night I was locked in alone, the club was located in the cellar of a multi-storey building btw. I had to fool my mom that it's ok and a lot of people are also there so she could let me go. The funny thing about these "nights" that there was no staff to stay with the customer and they had to lock you in. One time I payed for a night and I played Shade. There was an option to pay for a night and I did that a couple of times. Many people were not able to buy PCs or consoles (consoles never were really that popular here actually, except NES) so they hanged out at places like that. It was 2004 and I had no PC, at the time the so called computer gaming clubs were still very popular. Now it's only a few clicks, but enough of that. Yeah, smell associations with games are a thing. It was cool because there was really something that you can connect to the game - a feeling, a memory or even a smell.

You all know that time when there was no internet and you had to buy games in stores, borrow or pirate them. That was a time when I had a little story about almost any game I played back then. and I have this nice feeling of nostalgia and a little story to share with you.
